event highlight + drone
Documenting your event is essential for promoting your activities as an organization, especially if that event is as fun-packed as Nelson Aronia Farm's Harvest Festival! With one camera and one drone, I can craft a highlight video that educates, inspires, and draws the attention of your audience.
wedding highlight
Often ranging from 6 to 10 minutes long, a wedding highlight is the best way to capture the beauty, emotion, energy, and story of one of the most important days of your life. Sarah and Dave wanted a portion of their video to include interviews with guests. (This shortened clip cuts off right before that portion.) Couples may also ask for audio recordings (such as vows and poetry), various short clips for posting on social media, or graphic elements.
short film - "Frank & Suzy"
I started out in this industry directing and editing short films, and that's where my heart lingers. This short drama/comedy scene, adapted from "Charles Francis Chan Jr.'s Exotic Oriental Murder Mystery," was pitched and performed by two acting students and produced by Horn of Africa Productions. While I directed and edited this production, we all came together to have fun and exercise our craft.
short film - "The Site of unsure"
Featured in a dozen film festivals in the country, "The Site of Unsure" is a colorful and expressive animated poem I created in my mother's memory. It has won awards including Best Experimental Film (Fargo Film Festival, 2024) and Best Editing (Movie Town, 2023).
documentary - "Kinesthesia"
Three music artists living in Fargo-Moorhead offer a cross-section of the music scene in this experimental non-fiction short film. As the artists perform monologues based on their past experiences and their hopes for the future, dancers take to the stage and convey the artists’ stories through movement. Song, dance, theatre, and film unite in this celebration of the arts. In addition to editing this project, I played a major role in producing this short.
Theatrical projection design
"Assassins: The Musical" is a darkly comedic history of presidential assassinations and a biting critique of the United States. Director Kolie Shaw and Northern Starz Center for the Performing Arts invited me to create over 30 animated clips for their show run during the 2024 election week. I edited this compilation to give you a sample of what you might have missed!
